Learn how to care for your custom candle and install refills to enjoy your handcrafted piece for years to come.
The first burn is the most important. Allow the wax to melt completely across the entire surface to the edges of the container (this typically takes 2-3 hours). This prevents "tunneling" and ensures an even burn throughout the candle's life.
Pro Tip: Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This helps maintain the integrity of the wax and prevents overheating.
Before each burn, trim the wick to ¼ inch (about 6mm). This simple step prevents excessive smoke, ensures a clean burn, and extends the life of your candle.
Allow the candle to cool completely before trimming
Use scissors or a wick trimmer to cut the wick to ¼ inch
Remove any wick debris from the wax before relighting
Proper storage and placement help maintain your candle's quality and fragrance.
Your handcrafted container is designed to last forever. When your candle burns down, simply install a refill to continue enjoying your beautiful piece.
Once your candle has burned down (leave about ½ inch of wax at the bottom), carefully remove any remaining wax. You can freeze the container for a few hours to make the wax easier to pop out, or pour hot water over it to melt and pour out the wax.
Wipe the inside of your container with a paper towel to remove any residual wax. For a deeper clean, wash with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Ensure the container is completely clean and dry before installing the refill.
Your refill comes pre-formed to fit perfectly in your container. Simply place the refill wax into the clean container, ensuring it sits flat at the bottom. The refill should fit snugly without gaps.
Your candle is ready to enjoy! Remember to follow the first burn instructions and trim the wick before each use. Your beautiful handcrafted container with its embedded sand, glitter, or crystals continues to shine.
Eco-Friendly: By using refills, you're reducing waste and keeping your unique container forever. Each refill is 40% off the original candle price!
This happens when the first burn wasn't long enough. To fix, burn the candle for longer periods (2-3 hours) until the wax pool reaches the edges.
This indicates the wick is too long. Extinguish the candle, let it cool, trim the wick to ¼ inch, and relight.
Burn the candle in a smaller room with the door closed for 30 minutes to allow the fragrance to build. Also ensure you're not burning near open windows or vents.
